Ultra Modern Landscaping

Check out this Ultra Modern Landscape project we installed to perfectly match the Modern Style of the house!

This project has board form concrete walls used to create various levels at the entry and has a matching board form concrete fire pit. We also used clear coated raw steel to create additional soil

retention and a raised planter. The combination of unique materials and various levels really made this landscape and home stunning!

Winter Is Upon Us Once Again! How are you staying warm?

Whether you a Colorado Native or a recent transplant you are by now well aware of the extreme changes in temperatures we have here in our beautiful state. Despite the fact, we have colder weather our love for the outdoors does not sway! There are many ways to continue to enjoy our outdoor living and fun but here at Mile High Landscaping, we love our outdoor fire pits and fireplaces!!!

Regardless of the outside temperatures our Mile High Landscaping’s outdoor fire pits and fireplaces are a perfect solution for the continued use of the outdoor spaces and living areas. Situated into a new outdoor living space or added into an existing patio area, fire pits and fireplaces are a great way to bring family and friends together and or to create a warm and intimate space to relax. Our custom designed/fabricated fire pits and fireplaces can not only be used as roaring bonfires for much-needed heat and warmth but they can also be used at low burn to roast marshmallows for smores, add intimate lighting and or to create a unique and fun outdoor dining experience.

No Matter if you have a much more traditional or more modern contemporary style home, Mile High Landscaping can create the perfect fire element that will be both functional and aesthetically matching to fit your project. Most of our fire elements are configured with home fed natural gas so there is never any worry of running out of wood or having an empty propane tank. This allows you, your family and guests to enjoy your new fire element with without the concern of stock wood, flying sparks, cleaning ashes or replacing the propane tank each and every time you want to use it.

Outdoor Living – An Extension of the Home

Bring the indoors out with this unique Denver outdoor living space. Mile High Landscaping created this outdoor living space from the deck to the roof above. With easy access from the home out to the grilling area which transitions into a seating area with a wood burning fire place and outdoor television to catch the game while entertaining your friends and family. On movie night, the custom outdoor curtains can be drawn to block out exterior lights while eating popcorn and watching a family favorite movie. To extend the outdoor season we installed a heater above to take the chill away when those cooler temperatures arrive in Castle Pines. The outdoor custom built fire place is the focal point and built using a rustic wood mantle balanced above the stucco and stone veneer fascia. The cantilevered roof was engineered and then installed by the Mile High Landscaping experts and has a beautiful cedar wood grain board that adds warmth to the space

Creating Shade & Privacy with a Custom Modern Trellis

15Jan13 Augusto Finished Day 014 An outdoor living space is always a great addition to any property but its functionality can easily be hindered by an intense summer heat or lack of privacy. We have developed a functional but unique trellis with a contemporary motif to address these issues. This custom trellis is comprised of a few basic materials but has a clean finish and has become a focal point in this outdoor dining space. The shape redefines the traditional form of a trellis and is designed for privacy and UV protection.

Custom Metal Arbor in a Contemporary Landscape

This contemporary landscape in Sloans Lake has a unique outdoor living space that is defined by its large modern concrete patio and custom metal arbor. The juxtaposition of the arbor’s steel frame with the wood joists creates a distinct look that matches the modern context of the homes architecture. The black industrial look of the steel is a great accent against the light concrete. As the plants mature their dark red and green tones will soften the texture of the space and enclose its open walls.
