This contemporary getaway is designed to be a functional but social space for all gatherings. The space is defined with a large cedar trellis that provides ample shade over a smooth concrete patio. The clean and smooth finish of the stainless steel bar provides a contemporary look with easy maintenance and clean up. The use of our custom metal trellis screens provides an anchor for plants to climb and add a soft colorful texture to the space.

A Modern Walkway Becomes an Artistic Intervention

15Jan13 Biggins Night 089This contemporary walkway is not only a link between two unique outdoor living spaces but it also acts as an artistic installation. The contrast of sod and stone against the sand finished concrete is a unique aesthetic that adds visual character and intrigue while guests enjoy the outdoor dining room. The LED accent lighting and soothing sounds from the cast stone water feature make this walkway into a relaxing space of its own that can be enjoyed at all times of the day.

Mile High Landscaping Custom Built Wall Fountain

This masterpiece of a water fountain was custom made for our client. The back of the house faces a busy street and we wanted to do something special to screen out the traffic and create some privacy for our clients to relax and enjoy their outdoor living space. The rustic and elegant design for the wall thought to create a private nook with small arched windows to let light into the space and create interest beyond the wall. A simple but elegant fountain has water falling out of a copper pipe into a basin that cascades down into a larger fluted basin where water trickles out to a patio level pool. The water falling creates an orchestra of relaxing bubbling sound. The browns and tans of the background tile contrast in color and texture with the strong balance of the stucco wall. As mists of water coats the flagstone patio, a shiny sheen appears and gives the flagstone a golden color. Glazed ceramic garden pots from Creative Living give life to plants and add smooth shapes to the corner making for a balanced view.
